KEAMS is designed for managed business endpoints. We recommend only deploying it on company-owned devices with proper user consent.

Technical

What firewall rules are required?

Endpoints need outbound access to:

  • Port 8080 (or 3002 for development) - WebSocket server
  • Port 8082 (or 8081 for development) - Screen relay server
  • Port 443 - HTTPS for agent updates

How much bandwidth does remote desktop use?

Bandwidth usage depends on screen resolution and quality settings. Typical usage is 500KB/s - 2MB/s. You can adjust quality settings to reduce bandwidth.

What happens if the endpoint loses connection?

The agent will automatically attempt to reconnect with exponential backoff. Queued commands will be executed when connection is restored. The dashboard will show 'Offline' status.

Resume Keys
Agents persist a resume key that allows them to maintain their identity across restarts and reconnections.
